Matt Poling, Principal, Ryan LLC

─ Specializes in the valuation, assessment, taxation, and exemption of real and personal property on a state and local level for clients in a variety of industries, including commercial and industrial property, hospitality, specialized mixed-use, office, multifamily, financial institutions, and real estate investment trusts (REITs).

─ Responsible for the leadership and continued development of property tax professionals located throughout Ryan offices in a 12-state region.

Michael Van Donselaar, Managing Director,  Property Tax, Kroll, LLC

Mike has extensive experience in all phases of real property taxation, including appeals board representation/testimony, appraisal, and tax exemptions.  His experience includes residential, multi-family, industrial, office, retail, mixed-use, senior housing, resorts, subdivisions, agricultural, vacant land, possessory interests, and business personal property. Mike’s clients include developers, property managers, REITs, banks, and private equity investors. Mike is most active in Colorado and California but serves clients in several other states. 

Mike is an active member of Denver BOMA and serves on the Public Policy Committee. He is an active member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation (IPT) and previously held memberships with the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) and the Apartment Association of Metro Denver (AAMD).  Since 1997, Mike has actively maintained a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser’s License in Colorado.
